Thank you for your service Drago. I'm sorry you have left us. My heart goes out to your handler and all who knew you. I can't wait until we get to see you again. Until then, you go and run free and happily through the Heavens knowing you were loved and valued.

Drago, your eagerness to serve and your complete devotion to your handler and your work made you a hero. It's not our to ask why you were called home so soon, God wanted you with Him. Now you can rest in the glory you are worthy of. May God grant peace to your handler, the department and the community. Your pawprints will be hard to fill - live on, Drago!

K9 Drago:

Thank you for your law enforcement service to the citizens of Cook County, Illinois and to the Cook County, Illinois Forest Preserve Police Department. Let us celebrate your accomplishments and remember your selfless sacrifice in the Line-of-Duty. However, death is not the end; it does not have the final say! Now, my furry Comrade-in-Blue, rest easy, we will take it from here! May the Lord God bless you, your family, your friends, and your colleagues always.

"Well done, good and faithful servant!" [Matthew 25:21 ESV]

Almighty God, the Cook County, Illinois Forest Preserve Police Department was fortunate to receive the gift of Drago from You. Now that he has left this life, please help them cope with his loss with strength and courage. We know that this beloved canine hero no longer suffers, and will live on in the fond memories of his loyal and dedicated law enforcement service for which he was trained. We pray that his accomplishments and unconditional love have enriched the lives of others and that he will forever be remembered by all those who loved and cared for him. After all, DOG spelled backwards is GOD! Amen
