Medal of honor for all K9 officers who selflessly give their lives for the cause of duty! Dogs feel fear also, and are far from "dumb." They do understand that they are going after the "bad guys." These are true acts of bravery. Godspeed Officer Aren. May all of the humans learn from your example of selflessness, bravery & loyalty. These officers are eager to work, eager to please and get the job done! Great Sympathies to his partner.

The strength, dedication, and complete focus on mission often puts K9 officers in danger - yet, they run in and do what they've been trained simply because it's what they've been asked to do.
The loss of any officer, two or four-legged, is a tragedy and we share our condolences with everyone in the Omaha Police Department.

A Prayer for K9 Kobus:

Thank you for your law enforcement service to the citizens of Omaha, Nebraska and to the Omaha Police Department. Let us celebrate your accomplishments and remember your selfless sacrifice in the Line-of-Duty. However, death is not the end; it does not have the final say! All dogs do go to heaven because you possess a spirit that epitomizes God's unconditional love.

And He [Jesus] said to him, "Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise" [Luke 23:43].

Now, my four-legged furry Comrade-in-Blue, rest easy, we will take it from here."

"Well done, good and faithful servant" [Matthew 25:11]. May the Lord God bless you always. Amen
