Some heroes have four legs, a wet nose, and a wagging tail. Thank you for your service. Rest in peace, K-9 Krijger.

A fitting name for a heroic dogg. "Krijger" means "Warrior" in the Dutch/Belgian language.

I was so saddened for your loss of your partner. I missed the procession today at the service, but saw several officers as they were leaving, I saw representation from Richmond Pd, Suffolk Pd, Newport News, ect and was so touched at the way our officers in blue show respect to our fallen heroes. Thank you for your service and dedication K9 Krijger

The death of the suspect is outweighed by the death of a good and dear friend and partner, which all dogs can be, but Police Dogs are always a special breed, no matter the breed.

Rest Well Krijger, your partner is in my prayers.

There're never words enough to express a relationship. Our dog family member has undying love & acceptance, even now. They wait in the presence of the Lord until the day when we step thru the door back to them, never to be separated again for all eternity. That tail will go into high-wag mode, that tongue will larp over those teeth, and their eyes will meet ours with that special look. To have such a companion for eternity is such a Gift of God. They'll want 1 of their kind to protect you as soon as you are able. They know things. Our ears, teeth, smell, speed, is just not that good. We can't do without them. God bless, rejoice for the time you got to spend with such a magnificent being.
