So sad. This is a tragedy that should never have happened and now its happening more often than not. Something needs to change so that these precious commodities, partners, life friends should not have to endure this. They are our protectors! Treat them as such. Love them, pet them, watch over them as they do us. Rest in Peace Fritzie. You have done your duty for us all.

A K9 is not a pet, and not just man's best friend. A K9 is a partner, a protector, and confidant. This loss if felt across the force.

Frtizie, you have done your duty. Rest easy now. We have the watch from here.

Thank you Barney for your service to the Law Enforcement agency where you served. I know they will miss you. Everyday I go home, I look for my faithful friend to run up to the fence and greet me and when he doesn't, I know he's on the back patio sleeping. I usually sneak up to the fence and yell, "what? you sleeping on the job again and he jumps up and comes running to lick my face and I laugh so hard till I cry because it's like he saying, "hey I wasn't sleeping just resting my eyes". He is my morning joy and and midnight protector, so I know what you meant to your handler and family. May God keep you in perfect peace. I am MyBrothesrKeepr.

I am so sorry about the passing of Fritzi. I saw all the various police this morning to pay tribute to her. It brought tears to my eyes.

My older brother was a German Shepherd Dog trained to take care of me when we lived in Germany after WW II.

Thank you for your respect and love for Fritzi.

K9 Police Officer Fritzie, I'm sure during your time on the "Job" you did what you were trained to do and that was find the bad guy. You did your job for nothing but a scratch behind your ears and some praise from your handler and his two legged partners. It is now your time to play with all of the other dogs across the Rainbow Bridge. To your handler stay strong.
