I was a Police Officer for 34 years before retiring but never had a K-9 partner but I did experience a partner committing suicide. I have always had a home dog so I can I can feel your loss of not only a partner but a family member at the same time. May God bless all who knew or worked with Rocco.

It was once said that God created dogs to show people how to love. This still rings true in my heart. May Rocco walk among the Angels and God give the strength to deal with his loss.

I am so sorry for our fallen hero..and your loss... may the spirit console you..But I must. say even if we forgive he must face the consequences of his actions, charge him with capital murder: he did not kill an animal he killed an officer of the law, he deliberately delivered a fatal stabbing. He shank officer Rocco with no remorse only wanted to save his sorry sexual predator self -So he could molest other innocent people. God will avenge His creature's injustice for He is also His creator.

Rocco

Life here in Pittsburgh, won’t ever be the same,
our furry protective friend, Officer rocco has gone away!

To the Pittsburgh police, he was an officer & a friend
&
He protected his handler and fellow officers til the end

taken from us, by a mean and nasty man
you may have been a K9 but like a human - you took a stand!

You didn’t wear a mask, a costume or cape
but you did your all, and all you gave!

Just like a human officer, you get full honors,
with flags at half-mast.
You’ll never be forgotten, and you won’t be the past.

You did your job and put a criminal behind bars,
Thank dear Rocco, wherever you are!

My sympathy goes out, to the Pittsburgh Police
but smile for your beloved doggie, for he is now free

Free to roam the heavens, and finally play
Free to be at peace, and let’s all pray.

Pray that justice for Rocco will be served
Pray for Officer Lerza & his family, give them time they deserve!

Rocco’s in doggie heaven and his health and smile is restored
and free to lie happily at the feet of our lord.

To our dear Friend Rocco

Sleep now doggie,
Always remember your fellow K9’s in blue
The city and its people,
and Pittsburgh Police officers will always miss you

Dedicated to Fallen Pittsburgh Police K9 officer “Rocco”
