I own two Springer Spaniels and they are my extended family and they are an extended part of my family to which end if I was to lose them I would be totally devastated.

My heart goes out to the Owner / Handler and the department on the loss of his life.

Kind Regards

Trooper Timberwolf: My dear brother, today I morn your passing. I feel the pain of your handler, your department and your friends over your loss. But take heart my canine brother, for you will never be forgotten. My handler and I go around and tell people about the role dogs play in police work. To educate the public and break some of the myths and stero types about what a canine cop is and does.
Take care and God Bless

With any sudden death, expect the mourning process to take somewhat longer than usual, as the shock of the loss is generally greater than with a death that was anticipated. Others will tell you that it will pass, we know otherwise. To lose a partner is tragic. TANK will remembered by those who knew Him. But You are His partner and He will live forever in your heart. With deepest sympathy.

This is tough loss, evidenced by Tank's 11 years of dedicated service. By all evidence, he was - like so many of us - 'close to retirement', which makes it all that more sad. We never know why things happen the way they do and can only have faith that Tank's services were needed in another capacity!
