K9 Drago died when the air conditioner in his handler's vehicle failed.

His handler had gone to the Oak Forest Police Department to process an offender who had just been arrested. While the handler was inside the air conditioner failed and began blowing hot air. Rescue personnel rendered aid to Drago but were unable to save him.

Thank you for your service Drago. I'm sorry you have left us. My heart goes out to your handler and all who knew you. I can't wait until we get to see you again. Until then, you go and run free and happily through the Heavens knowing you were loved and valued.
