Submitting an Officer

These instructions are provided to assist you with submitting an eligible officer to be honored on the Officer Down Memorial Page, Inc. Following the instructions below will allow us to quickly conduct the necessary research in order to verify a line of duty death and have the officer added to the ODMP.

Updating an officer currently honored on the ODMP
If the officer is already honored on the ODMP, please locate his/her memorial and click on the "Update This Memorial" button on the bottom of the memorial.

Submitting an officer killed this year
For officers killed in the line of duty during the current year, please complete this online submission form. Please include a detailed synopsis of the incident and links to any news websites or other relevant websites with information about the death.

Submitting an officer killed prior to this year
Officers killed in the line of duty prior to the current year are considered historic cases and must be handled by our Research Department. Please complete this online submission form with the details you have about the incident. You will then be contacted by an ODMP researcher with additional instructions. Before a historic officer will be added to the ODMP the information must be verified through documentation such as newspaper articles and/or official documents.
