As I review more and more reflections, its saddens me the most that such a young man's life is taken so quickly when all he wanted to do was make our world a better place. It takes a certain type of person to dedicate thier life to policing which is what Doug did.......My hat is off to you P.C. Scott may you rest in peace and may each and every day help your family's and friends hearts heal a little more. God bless.

I haven't spent a lot of time this year reading the memorials of the fallen officers, mainly because it saddens me that so many great men and women have fallen. It's a terrible thing that so many great lives were cut so short. As a fallen officer survivour and a fellow Canadian, my heart goes out to all those that knew and loved Constable Scott. Know that you are not alone in this journey that you walk and that Douglas will not be forgotten here in Winnipeg.

Constable Scott, thank you for helping to make this world a safer place. If you run into my late fiance Dennis up there give him a hug for all of us down here. It's been almost five years since he's been gone, but we still miss him terribly.

Wishing you brighter and better days,

Jocelyne

Constable Scott,
As a new law enforcement officer my self, and being very close to your age, I grieve for you knowing what hopes and dreams you must of had. I am saddened for you knowing that you will never get to experience them. You have made a difference in this scary world of ours, and I only hope I can live up to the example you have set. RIP Brother, we have the watch now.

"True heroism is remarkably sober, very undramatic.
It is not the urge to surpass others at whatever cost,
but the urge to serve others at whatever cost."

Thank you for your service to our country, Cst. Scott.
