You will never be forgotten by your Police Brothers and Sisters. Thank you for service to this country and to your community. Rest in peace Brother. Colin Davies D/C 6745 (Ret) It has only been a year since this tragic loss - an eternity for Constable Plunkett's family, I'm sure. I am writing to ensure that they know that he is not, and never shall be, forgotten by the people he served and protected so long and so well. James Frost As the 1 year anniversary approaches, you and your loved ones are in my mind more than normal. PC Amanda Pandolfi-Sherman My thoughts are still with you all & may god keep you safe. Scott Bailey FOREVER IN MY THOUGHTS, FOREVER IN MY HEART. I REMEMBER YOU, TODAY, TOMORROW AND ALWAYS. PC Amanda Sherman (Pandolfi) I've been with YRP for less than 10 years, and while it's been 9 months, I still find myself in a state of disbelief that one of our own is gone. Godspeed my friend.
Badges of the blue Steve Laramy God Speed, Brother. P.O.K.Murphy I haven't spent a lot of time this year reading the memorials of the fallen officers, mainly because it saddens me that so many great men and women have fallen. It's a terrible thing that so many great lives were cut so short. As a fallen officer survivour and a fellow Canadian, my heart goes out to all those that knew and loved Constable Plunkett, especially to his wife. Know that you are not alone in this journey that you walk and that Robert will not be forgotten here in Winnipeg. Jocelyne Brar (Winnipeg, MB Canada) Thank you for giving the greatest gift. Special Ranger Doug Hutchison I am terribly saddened by this tradegy...my thoughts go out to Constable Plunkett's family, friends, coworkers and community. Constable Zuliani Now that the flurry of activity has settled in what was the aftermath of Robs death I have time to gather my thoughts and true emotions. We have lost a outstanding member of our service, he lived his life like some of us would like to live ours. He dedicated his efforts 100% when it came to his work, family or charities he was involved in. It was a fitting funeral and send off for such a nice guy. I hope your family finds some small comfort in the sadness the thousands of us felt with the loss of husband, father, friend and co-worker. Joe Fiume I am deeply saddened by your line of duty death. I send my thoughts and prayers to your family and colleagues. I was honoured to participate in your funeral as part of the motorcycle escort. I am overwhelmed by the proud legacy you have left. Your dedication to family, your professional and exemplary service and your enthusiatic volunteerism is an example for us all to aspire to. You will be missed but you will not be forgotten.
